In 2003 we launched our Schools Programme. Each school is designated one MP to pray for on a regular basis. Schools that join the programme pray for their partnered MP in school assemblies each week. The children at the school write letters and develop a relationship with their Member or Senator.
Our desire is to support and encourage MPs in the important role that they play in our community. We value the work that they do.
Schools receive the following items to help them on their exciting prayer adventure. These include a plaque, and a photo of your MP with profile, to display in your school. Activities include suggested prayers for weekly assemblies and two activities for a designated class to complete. Studies in Government will then be given a practical Christian application. Schools also continue to receive the regular PPN prayer mail. Each semester PPN will send
subsequent material. All materials are prepared by a qualified school teacher. PPN can also provide classes on visits to Parliament House. Where possible, we will involve
Christian MPs to emphasise the Biblical perspective. An additional fee will apply.
This is an exciting opportunity for your school to share and practice the Christian faith in a practical way. Prayer will change our nation. We invite you to join our programme.
